FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1:
Download Phoenix, CFW Files and Symbian^Belle Lite
UPDATE: PLEASE VISIT MY NEW TECNOLOGY BLOG HERE
Step 2:
Open Rick's CFW Archive, Locate RM-697 Folder and extract it to C:/Program Files/Nokia/Phoenix/Products/
Open Symbian^Max CFW Archive then extract it to Desktop, also extract the UDA file to Desktop (UDA is optional)
Step 3:
Extract and Install Phoenix

Step 4:
Open Phoenix
Click File > Open Product > Select RM-697 (Better type RM-697 in type filter then select it)
Step 5:
Go to Flashing > Firmware Update

Step 6:
Open Product Code and Select RM-697 CTR INDIA Aluminum Grey and Click OK
Step 7:
Check Dead Phone USB Flashing Then Click Options
Step 8:
In Flashing files and their parameter option, delete everything except RM-697_20.0.024_prd.core.C00

Step 9:
Click Add, then Open File, Go to Desktop and add the Files you extracted with this properties:
ROFS2 (Symbian^MIX v1.0.rofs2.V21) - Type: PPM
Use case: Check Backup/Restore and Refurbish
UDA ( If you want to keep your data, flash without any UDA ) - Type: Content
Use Case: Refurbish
Click OK

Step 10:
Turn Off Phone (Make sure its disconnected from PC) > Click Refurbish > A Dialog Box will appear, Press Ok > Connect Phone to Computer > PC will Install the drivers, and phone will boot to Nokia Splashscreen > Remove USB > Wait for phone to turn off > Connect USB flashing will resume
Step 11:
Wait until a pop-up message appears saying that flashing is complete. Done.

How risky is it? If your phone is on warranty, after flashing this version will the manufacturer/seller's warranty be void? If something goes wrong, how to recover it? It would be much better if you can please upload a video having real flashing done in it like flashing your own phone so that all the viewers could try this with confidence! Please consider!

i've nokia c5-03 i tried to flash it with phoenix, but when i press the "..." button it shows DP1.0 & DP2.0 was not found for the product.
What to do???

ReplyDeletemy phone wont let the instalation to complete.... i connect the usb and after 3-4 sec it just turn off... and update wonts me to Verifying communication to product... and i cant bcs my phone wont stay connected to pc for that long :S

And now my nokia c5-03 is dead.just vibrate when i push the power button.i saw that you have one comment like mine problem at youtube video.what i must do now to turn it on.can i flash the official Firmware,and how? ReplyDeleteI SEE THAT SOME OF YOU GUYS HAD PROBLEM OF PHONE JUST VIBRATING AND DISPLAY NOT COMING UP AFTER THESE STEPS!!! JUST TO ANSWER THAT,I TOO CAME ACROSS THE SAME ISSUE, WHAT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THEN IS, YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST FIRMWARE FILES FROM NAVIFIRM AND USE THE SAME STEPS @THUGsySrikanth HAS FOLLOWED ON THIS VIDEO, USE PHONEIX SOFTWARE ITSELF AND FLASH WITH THE FILES YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED FROM NAVIFIRM, IT WORKS FINE FOR ME NOW.. I GOT SHOCKED FOR A WHILE WHEN I FACED THIS ISSUE :)

ReplyDeletethis firmware is based on ofw 20.0.3 so if u have a later firmware version like 23.1.0 then its must be bricked...

download navifrm +
then find your suitable ofw files...
flash again using the same instruction
Open Phoenix

Hey guys if your c5-03 RM-697 sw version is 23.0.015 pls don't flash your mobile.The CFw provided is based on sw version 20.0.024. If you flash your mobile using it your mobile will brick. If you have already flashed your mobile and its not booting then download c5-03 RM-697 sw version 23.0.015 for your mobile using NaviFirm and flash it using the proper firmware.

ReplyDeleteLet's Begin u just have to flash with ur current original firmware file,which files can be download from navifarm+ and then flash using phoenix and ur phone will be recoved....try this...
Nidhin is right.... Those who have bricked their phone download the latest package from navifarm+ or Mr Crab.net's website.
